About Senior Strategic Planner, In-house creative agency

  Vanguard's in-house creative agency, RHC, is expanding its capabilities to better define and tell the Vanguard story in ways that set Vanguard apart and inspire action. We're looking for a Senior Strategic Planner who can promote in-house expertise on topics such as creative strategy, content frameworks, and positioning, and partner with our internal creative teams to bring their strategies to life. This role must be experienced and skilled in developing creative briefs and creative strategies for complex and high-impact campaigns. Creative strategies will reach all Vanguard audiences across paid, owned, and earned channels. Briefs and strategies should uncover unique insights from unexpected sources and connect the dots to apply them to the business or product challenge at hand. This role should be able to expertly build relationships with senior stakeholders and serve as key relationship contact for all creative needs, having the ability to persuade and influence to drive strong creative outcomes.

  Core Responsibilities:

  Creative Strategy

  Expertly writes and presents creative briefs and creative strategies to enable strategic business outcomes for enterprise-wide work. Creative brief writing experience and skill is critical for success in this role.

  Sets a clear vision that inspires creative teams to deliver bold work.

  Balances external practice with internal brand. Serves as Vanguard's authority on industry best practices, emerging trends, and their validity in Vanguard's environment and culture to encourage adoption as appropriate.

  Consults with key clients and stakeholders in the development of successful strategies and plans.

  Client/Account Management

  Presents and pitches creative strategies and solutions to clients.

  Develops and strengthens working relationships with key business partners and executives across the organization to support communications and business objectives.

  Serves as key relationship executive and contact for all creative needs with aligned business.

  Takes responsibility for maintaining a proactive approach for making decisions amidst ambiguity.

  Oversees planning, development, and execution of short- and long-term creative and content goals.

  Creative Leadership

  Provides clear, strategically aligned feedback to creative teams that inspires creative talent to deliver their very best work.

  Recognizes and nurtures bold ideas of others.

  Maintains positivity and acts as a team player with can-do attitude.

  An ideal candidate:

  Minimum eight years related work experience; five years Communications experience preferred.

  Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience. Graduate degree preferred.

  This role can be located in either Malvern, PA, Scottsdale, AZ, or Charlotte, NC office and is a hybrid role with Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday in the office and Monday and Friday are remote.
