Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will handle various operational accounting functions, including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and reconciliations. Additionally, the role requires general ledger experience, some financial analysis, and the ability to interpret and understand financial statements. Key Responsibilities:

General Ledger (GL) Maintenance:

Post journal entries and maintain accurate general ledger accounts.

Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes.

Review and analyze transactions to ensure proper accounting treatment.

Financial Analysis:

Assist in the preparation and analysis of financial statements.

Provide analysis and insights on financial performance, including variance analysis.

Reporting:

Prepare various reports to assist with management decision-making.

Provide support for internal and external audits as needed.

Accounts Payable (AP):

Process invoices, ensure timely and accurate payments, and maintain AP records.

Reconcile AP statements and resolve discrepancies.

Assist with month-end closing for AP-related accounts.

Accounts Receivable (AR):

Process customer payments, monitor AR aging, and follow up on overdue accounts.

Prepare and maintain AR reconciliations to ensure accurate financial records.

Assist in managing customer credit and collections processes.

Reconciliations:

Perform regular bank and balance sheet account reconciliations.

Identify and resolve any discrepancies promptly.

Requirements

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

3+ years of experience in operational accounting (AP, AR, reconciliations).

Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting and financial statement preparation.

Proficient in accounting software (e.g.SAP, NetSuite, or similar).

Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
