This position is for Wells Fargo Home Lending Originations Technology. This team is primarily focused on the development and support of loan origination and fulfillment platform for Wells Fargo Home Lending. This is an exciting group that is ever changing and growing, so the need is for an experienced technology professional wanting to develop and extend an existing web-based application, business integration services, and micro services in a cutting-edge development environment that is focused on the next generation Home Lending platform within Wells Fargo. The Wells Fargo Home Lending Originations Technology is modernizing the technology and business process to provide best in class experience for the customers and team members. As a Senior Software Engineer in this role, you will develop technology solutions to simplify, streamline and enhance the mortgage origination process.

This position will offer end to end full stack Engineering experience with the primary focus being on shift-left testing. In this position you will be primarily responsible for the creation of automated test frameworks, design and implementation of test cases, test data management and writing code to build reliable and efficient test automation suite.

In this role, you will:

Lead moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within technical domain environments.

Contribute to large scale planning of strategies.

Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs associated with technology domain, including upgrades and deployments.

Review moderately complex technical challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of technologies and procedures.

Resolve moderately complex issues and lead a team to meet existing client needs or potential new clients’ needs while leveraging solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, or compliance requirements.

Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level managers to resolve technical challenges and achieve goals.

Lead projects and act as an escalation point, provide guidance and direction to less experienced staff.

Develop and share the industry best practices and standards for the business functional development and non-functional requirements.

Create unit test cases and automated functional test cases using Behavior Driven Development (BDD) technique following Test Driven Development (TDD) practices.

Overseeing creation of or updates to testing of the business continuation plan.

Participate in daily scrum activities and ceremonies.

Be a point person for addressing production and non-production issues.

Understand and assure quality, security, and compliance requirements are met.

Required Qualifications:

4+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.

4+ years of Test automation development experience using Selenium with Java and BDD using Cucumber.

4+ years of Java development experience

4+ years of Java unit test case development experience

Desired Qualifications:

Experience in building test automation solutions to cover UI frontend, middle tier, and backend interfaces and services.

Strong hands-on experience with behavior driven development (BDD) using Cucumber, QMetry, and/or Karate framework.

Experience with UI testing using Selenium with Java, API level testing, Service Virtualization, Reporting and test automation coverage reporting.

Strong understanding of the concept of shift-left testing.

Experience in designing and architecting modular and reusable automated testing solutions that satisfies client requirements.

Experience with performance testing and analysis using tools such as JMeter and LoadRunner.

Experience in DevOps and hands on with build and deploy tools such as Jenkins.

Awareness of CI/CD processes in a large application environment.

Experience with application non-functional requirements including Monitoring (APM tools), Logging (Splunk), and Distributed tracing.

Spring boot application development experience.

Angular or UI related UI framework experience.

Agile Development methodologies

Tomcat application server experience.

Cloud native Microservices development experience.

Oracle database experience

SQL experience.

Hibernate experience.

Mongo DB

Kafka

Knowledge and understanding of home mortgage origination process: applications, processing, and closing.

Job Expectations:

Position will require onsite presence at one of the required locations listed below in a hybrid work schedule
