　　DynamoDB Frontend Services is looking for a Sr. Software Engineer with that is passionate about optimizing resource utilization. Your background in infrastructure automation and data analysis with strong software development fundamentals makes this the perfect job for you.

　　The DynamoDB’s Capacity Forecasting and Placement team enables optimal availability and distribution of service infrastructure continue meeting our customer demands.

　　As a Sr. Software Engineer on this team you will lead the development of end to end automation handling DynamoDB’s infrastructure lifecycle as our service continues to scale to our customer’s demands.

　　Key job responsibilities

　　Amazon DynamoDB is a NoSQL database service that does all this and more. DynamoDB is a key-value and document database that delivers single-digit-millisecond performance at any scale. DynamoDB can store petabytes of customer data and handle peaks of more than 20 million requests per second.

As an engineer here, you will work on the hardest engineering problems in distributed systems at a massive scale and on multiple dimensions. You will exercise your intellectual curiosity, work with motivated teams of sharp individuals, and get insightful guidance from senior and principal engineers.

　　This is a hands-on position in which you will own everything from end to end: requirements gathering, designs, design reviews, implementations, code reviews, incremental feature launches, operations, mentoring, and the driving of continuous improvement.

　　Basic Qualifications

　　5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience

　　5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience

　　5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience

　　Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team

　　Preferred Qualifications

　　5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience

　　Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

　　Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $134,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $261,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
