　　Amazon launched Amazon Business in JP in 2017. It is a relatively new marketplace on Amazon that combines the selection, convenience and value customers have come to know and love from Amazon, with new features and unique benefits tailored to business buyers. Amazon Business provides easy access to hundreds of millions of products – everything from IT and lab equipment to education and food service supplies – as well as business-only selection and pricing. Amazon Business represents an incredible opportunity to address a vast new market segment and customer base and is an area of high interest for Amazon. We are focused on building solutions that enable business customers find, research, and buy products and services from a vast selection, across multiple devices, marketplaces and regions.

　　A critical component on Amazon Business is Pay by Invoice which allows buyers to buy products on credit terms. We expect many thousands of buyers to use this feature and Amazon will need to credit assess these buyers and manage a growing portfolio of receivables. We aim to do this in a highly automated and scalable fashion while providing a great customer experience.

　　We are looking for a well-rounded business manager with strong industry experience to manage the credit performance of Japan credit portfolio and lead Japan credit strategy by co-working with Credit Analyst. The Sr. Risk Manager will be responsible for managing the performance of this credit portfolio by leading strategic initiatives. This role will contribute to building out the platform by providing thought leadership on new data sources to use, risk indicators to consider, and effective mitigating responses. This role is to report to Sr. Portfolio Manager of JP Credit Management.

　　The successful candidate will be a thought leader who can help build and scale a best-in-class credit management program. The ideal candidate should possess strong credit management skills, directly support continuous improvement initiatives, be highly analytical, resourceful, Customer-focused and team oriented, with outstanding communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with key stakeholders. The role is based in the Amazon Japan’s corporate office in Tokyo.

　　Key job responsibilities

　　The primary responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:

　　Managing end-to-end credit strategy across customer lifecycle and through economic cycle (recessions) and other shocks

　　Assist in defining policies and product features to support credit decisioning and monitoring

　　Establish, constantly improve, and be a thought leader for a credit adjudication and performance monitoring platform

　　Develop processes, mechanisms and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to grow efficiently and in a scalable way

　　Partner with underwriting operations on complex credit decisions that require manual reviews or exceptions

　　Identify innovations and drive experiments that provide customers with a great payment experience

　　Identify, monitor and communicate the right metrics to measure decision quality and portfolio health

　　Partner with teams within B2B Payments including Marketing, Business Development, Business Operation, Program Management and contribute to B2B Payment-wide improvement goals

　　Own relationships with Sales team in Amazon Business to support procurement of large customers

　　Own relationships with Account Receivables team and Financial Operation team to establish and manage loss mitigation and recovery processes

　　Basic Qualifications

　　Bachelor’s degree or equivalent is required

　　Clear examples of demonstrated judgment and strategic insight

　　Experience managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders

　　Analytical and problem solving skills, including the ability to recognize non-obvious patterns; comfort with Excel, working knowledge of SQL is a plus

　　High attention to detail and desire to roll up sleeves and solve problems at root cause

　　Effective time management, prioritization, and organizational skills

　　Growth potential to develop as a senior executive

　　Fluency in Japanese(JLPT1)

　　Fluency in English(verbal and written)

　　MBA from top tier institute

　　Experience managing external stakeholders

　　Experience managing complex operational processes

　　Experience in finance or banking
