  Job Summary

  If you are looking for an opportunity in Quality function, then Emerson has a great opportunity for you! The Senior Quality Engineer ensures all components delivered from a supplier follow manufacturing specifications and company standards.

  In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  Perform on site source inspection in a timely, efficient, and accurate manner, in accordance with FCV Quality Management System. The inspection process includes visual inspection, PMI, dimensional, testings, etc.

  Review and approve quality control related supplier documents, including follow up and resolution

  Collaborate with Plant Quality, SQE, Product BU and Material Engineering to develop quality controls necessary for supplied products / parts

  Support supplier problem solving and corrective / preventive action to deliver First Article / mass production

  Weekly/Monthly reports to the Manager in regard to the team working results and the quality performances of the suppliers.

  Supplier surveillance/monitoring activity include auditing , until stable mass production

  Effective planning and management of day-to-day tasks across the team - (pro-active & re-active) - Reviews, Inspections, Improvements and CAPA during the project development phase

  Support other supply chain related activities such as Heat Lot Consolidation, Rework, etc

  Perform witness inspection as needed

  Others

  Adhere to Emerson’s Code of Conduct and Corp GSC / FCV GSC’s guidelines

  Adhere to Emerson’s values, Supply Chain and Quality policies

  Complete any other tasks assigned by line manager

  Who You Are:

  You show a tremendous amount of initiative in tough situations; are outstanding at spotting and seizing opportunities. You build immediate rapport, even when facing difficult or tense situations. You actively listen and check for understanding. You continually scan the environment for technology breakthroughs.

  For This Role, You Will Need:

  Minimum 4 years of proven experience in Quality Assurance and Quality Control activities.

  Experienced in operating measuring instruments and gauges such as PMI, Spectrum, CMM, hardness tester etc.

  Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes and GD & T (geometric and dimensional tolerances)

  Good understanding of Quality Standards, ISO 9000 Quality Management system and audits.

  NDE certification is an added advantage

  Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

  Bachelor’s degree in engineering Mechanical/Manufacturing or related discipline.

  The ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and through written reports.

  Strong interpersonal skills and able to relate well with all levels of staff.

  Knowledge of statistical tools and computer software (Microsoft offices).
