Job Summary:
To supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the plant and Employees, meeting all safety, quality and production targets as indicated by the company.
Main Responsibilities
Advises the daily activities of employees working in the plant.
Embrace the Company’s safety culture, actively support all safety initiatives, and adhere to defined accountabilities implemented by the Safety Steering and Continuous Improvement teams.
Support, promote, and practice the Company core values, vision, and mission; follow code of ethics, workplace conduct, safety, and other established policies
Ensure the highest standards are achieved and maintained in terms of safety, quality, and efficiency
Effectively coordinate daily plant operations and staff to ensure safety, regulatory, and production targets are met
Actively support and lead Company initiatives related to safety and employee development
Assist with training, coaching and development of employees to perform at their highest level
Maintain effective relationships with customers, suppliers, and Company business groups
Use computer system to enter and maintain customer data, prepare reports, and respond to e-mail correspondence
Communicate and schedule maintenance projects with Manager.
Coordinate scheduling of plant equipment maintenance
Order and maintain inventory of spare parts supply.
Safely operate company equipment, tooling, and vehicle s
Education:
Valid drivers’ license and ability to maintain a clean motor vehicle record required. Skills:
3 or more years of experience in material production operations and/or similar role
2 or more years of experience in a supervisory role preferred
Must be dependable, punctual and have a strong work ethic
Other job duties include, but are not limited to, the following: working in a safe manner, record keeping, training, production, quality control, loading and unloading of products that are produced at the facility, maintaining equipment, and many other duties as the need arise.
Ability to effectively prioritize, problem-solve, and work under consistent pressure of deadlines
Basic computer skills, including use of MS Office products
Physical Requirements:
Wear and maintain personal protective equipment (PPE) as required
to lift and /or move up to 50 pounds with or without assistance
Regularly required to use hands to move and manipulate objects, communicate (talk and hear), stand, walk, sit, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
Regularly exposed to work near moving mechanical parts and heavy machinery
Occasionally required to work from heights
Regularly exposed to all outdoor weather conditions and loud noises; including some exposure to fumes or airborne particles
