This position may be hired as an Adjuster or Senior Adjuster, depending on years of relevant experience. Here are the correspond salary ranges:
Adjuster
Minimum: $55,000 / year & Maximum: $90,000 / year
Senior Adjuster
Minimum: $67,000 / year & Maximum: $111,000 / year
You will investigate and maintain complex or highly complex claims property claims. You will determine liability, secure information, review coverages, arrange appraisals, and settles claims. You will work in the field and report to the Property Claim Manager and handle homeowner property field claims typically within 2 hours of Denver metro. You must be located within 20 miles of the Denver metro area. A company fleet vehicle is provided with the position and there's an option to use the vehicle for personal use.
Compensation Minimum:$55,000 / year
Compensation Maximum:$111,000 / year
Compensation may vary based on the job level and your geographic work location.
Responsibilities
Investigate origin and cause of claims by contacting the appropriate parties including insureds, claimants, agents, attorneys, contractors, experts, special investigation unit, other adjusters, public personnel, etc..
Identify complex issues and looks for assistance. Handle claims on a good faith basis.
Handle both 1st party and 3rd party claims under multiple policies types and numerous endorsements.
Conduct on-site inspections when needed, evaluates damages, and handles claim negotiations with insureds, claimants, attorneys, and public adjusters.
Respond to customer inquiries, makes appropriate decisions and close file.
Interpret and determine policies, leases, by-laws, declarations, articles and contract coverages and applies to all parties for assigned losses.
Provide all parties with claim process and status; answers questions or redirect to other areas.
As a senior adjuster, you will make independent decisions and self-supervise most files and recognize when assistance is needed.
As a senior adjuster, you will be a mentor and subject matter expert for less experienced adjusters.
Specialized Knowledge & Skills Requirements
Demonstrated experience providing customer-driven solutions, support or service.
Demonstrated experience handling 1st and 3rd party, multi-line claims.
Demonstrated experience handling simple to moderately complex.
Extensive knowledge and understanding of policies and endorsements.
Extensive knowledge of each phase of the claim handling process.
Licenses
Valid driver's license required plus an acceptable driving record.
Obtain state specific property casualty claims licensing as required.
Travel Requirements
Up to 10%.
Catastrophe travel up to 75% as applicable.
Physical Requirements
Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles and the like. This position may require employees to visit areas that have a higher hazard than a typical office such as customer homes, body shops, or other locations.
Moving self in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments including tight and confined spaces.
Adjusting or moving objects up to 50 pounds in all directions.
Working Conditions
Low temperatures.

Outdoor elements such as precipitation and wind.
Noisy environments.
Hazardous conditions.
Poor ventilation.
Small and/or enclosed spaces.
Additional Qualifications:
Familiarity with Xactimate is required for the senior adjuster level & preferred for the adjuster level
Five or more years property field claims experience is required for the senior adjuster level
