Duties/Responsibilities include but not limited to: Performs a variety of entry level general administrative and complex clerical duties designed to expedite the functions, actions, judgments, processes, and procedures associated with the office of the County Justice Court. Works under the general supervision of the Justice Court Judge and the Lead Court Clerk. Receives, dockets and files incoming citations and complaints; maintains cross reference recovery system; opens mail, sorts and processes; under strict guidelines as may be approved by the justice court judge, administers fines based on fined schedule or bail if plea is not guilty. May, with the approval of the Judge, prepare court documents; monitors court cases, filings, and official mailed documents. Performs duties regarding all court procedures as assigned. Assists in functions of the Kane County Justice Court in order to maintain day to day operations. Will receive on the job training. Must be a high school graduate or equivalent with a valid Driver License. Must pass a Criminal Background check. Preference will be given to experienced applicants, however, all applicants will be considered. The official Kane County application must be completed and signed.
