  MITRE’s Finance organization is seeking a Senior Program Administrator Analyst to play a key role in the support the MITRE National Security (MNS) Sector Operations & Analysis (O&A) Team which manages financial deliverables associated with the overall contract vehicles and maintains project health information (setup and funding) in Costpoint. This team is responsible for:

  Roles and Responsibilities:

  Contract Deliverables: producing financial contractual deliverable requirements list (CDRL) reports, invoices, and program status reports for the government. Ensures completion within established deadlines.

  Project Health: direct project setup and maintenance in Costpoint. Entering and managing funding records in Costpoint, validating project funding levels in government financial systems, and maximizing available funds by maintaining appropriate funding document sequence.

  Contract Level Resources: producing and maintaining contract-level resource workbooks, dashboards, and shared sites. Accessing government financial systems and retrieving data.

  Process Improvement: Understanding of key steps to produce deliverables and reports and recommend areas that could benefit from process improvement.

  Technology Adoption: integrating new business tools to transform existing processes. Defining requirements for prospective tools and technologies, supporting rollout efforts and acting as champions for change. (

  Business Partnering: partnering with MNS Program Finance and Business Partner units. Close coordination and interaction with MNS Contracts, Accounts Receivable, Project Accounting, EBSOD team, and United States Department of Defense (DoD) contract and finance staff.

  Governance: Ensures appropriate controls are in place to adhere to contractual rules and regulations.

  Key Functions:

  Retrieve data from government financial systems

  Interact with multiple internal customers (e.g., Contracts, Accounts Receivable, Program Finance, Business Partners)

  Review Contract Modifications & ensure accurate entry into Costpoint

  Maintain key data sources that generate internal and external reports

  Review and validate invoices

  Prepare and validate Contract deliverables

  Process contract funding de-obligations & Complete Contract closeouts

  Ensure proper Project Setup

  Work with O&A Leads and A/R to proactively address Accounts Receivables issues

  Develop Contract Level Analysis including historical trends

  Basic Qualifications:

  5 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 3 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD with relevant experience who can immediately contribute at this job step; or equivalent combination of related education and work experience.

  Understanding of Cost-Plus federal government contracting government contracts and the financial reporting requirements.

  Preferred Qualifications:

  Experience with Deltek Cost Point, Tableau, Cognos Analytics and Altair highly preferred

  Ability to work with large data sets to produce reliable, accurate reports

  Resourceful self-starter who executes on commitments

  Mindset of continuous improvement with the capacity to drive change

  Excellent communication, interpersonal, presentation, and influencing skills

  Consensus builder: Promote ideas and gain buy-in on new approaches

  Flexible team player with ability to work in cross-functional teams and across varying groups and organizational levels

  Ability to handle multiple concurrent work streams while maintaining high quality output

  Attention to detail
