Learn more by visiting www.geosyntec.com.At Geosyntec, we highly value hiring people who are recognized as experts in their fields, who are innovative and eager to grow.We continue to grow in North America, and are now looking for a Senior Professional - Sediment Remediation (PE or PG) to help manage and grow our sediment and waterfront redevelopment practice in the greater NJ/PA/NY area through their aptitude in people and project management, commitment to technical excellence and experience with sediment remediation projects.You must have an entrepreneurial attitude and enthusiasm for supporting business development and technical efforts to expand Geosyntec's market share. This position is well-suited for a talented and highly driven individual who is interested in being a leader and contributing to building, managing, and motivating teams pursing innovative and challenging projects, including the financial and technical evaluation, design, permitting, and construction stages.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Business development; including bringing in new clients and obtaining repeat business from existing clients, leading proposal preparation, and developing and implementing a business development plan;Task and project management, including planning and implementing investigation and remediation projects, budgeting and budget management, adherence to schedule, quality, client satisfaction, and profitability;Engineering analysis, design, and cost estimating for sediment remediation projects;Management and mentoring of junior staff and managing subcontractors;Work plan development, data evaluation, and report writing;Preparing technical reports, letters, memoranda, plans, specifications, and proposals;Reviewing and managing written document production;Preparing for and participating in meetings with clients, regulatory personnel, and other parties; andAt times, job may also include fieldwork including multi-media environmental sampling, sediment sampling and characterization, drilling oversight, contractor oversight, and remediation system operations, maintenance, and construction.
Education and Licensure
Bachelor's degree in engineering (civil, chemical or environmental preferred) (required)Advanced degree the same. (preferred)Professional registration (i.e., P.E. or P.G.) (preferred)
Skills, Experience and Qualifications
At least 8 years (10+ preferred) of direct environmental consulting experience in the sediment remediation marketplace; or equivalent combination of education and experience. (required)Detailed understanding of CERCLA and other applicable state regulations. (required)Experience with multi-disciplinary project teams. (required)Demonstrated success in the development and management of clients. (required)Excellent leadership skills. (required)Ability to succeed in a fast-paced consulting environment, handling multiple project assignments, meeting strict deadlines, and traveling to client facilities as needed. (required)Current OSHA 40-hr HAZWOPER training and refreshers. (preferred)Ability and willingness to perform fieldwork and travel. (required)Valid U.S. driver's license and a satisfactory riving record for business travel. (required)
