About Senior Product Manager, Seller Experience

  Description

  There are millions of small and medium businesses across India, Brazil, Mexico, Middle East, etc. who sign up as sellers on Amazon. Many of these businesses are already successful offline but are new to selling online. The Seller Success team within Emerging Marketplace Seller Experience organization is focused on helping sellers with the right set of tools and best practices that can enable them to accelerate business growth on Amazon. For newly registered sellers, this team builds products that help get the first sale quickly, and equip them for long term success on Amazon. For others, the team ideates new ways to deliver growth recommendations and guided workflows that drive faster actions for sellers, translating into topline/revnue growth.

We work like a well-funded, high octane startup driven by the passion to bring the Amazon experience to our selling partners across Emerging Marketplaces. This role is responsible for driving a roadmap for some of the most critical enablers to help new and tenured sellers succeed across marketplaces outside of the Established Marketplaces (like North Americas, UK, Japan, etc.).

  As a Senior Product Manager, you will be expected to come up with the PR/FAQ, vision, and business requirements for the some of the most impactful ideas contributing to Seller Success WW. This will need you to understand pain points of various types of sellers, prioritize business needs that could be different across countries, while coming up with well thought out product ideas that leverage some of the latest advancements in technology (e.g. Generative AI, Large Language Models, Native-OS capabilities, etc.). You will launch products, and take them to market, demonstrating business impact across countries.

  The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic about managing challenging, lengthy projects across multiple teams and locations. They will be comfortable marshaling large amounts of data, and expert with new-age technology domains like Generative AI to make recommendations and build business cases. We are looking for a tenured Product leader who shares Amazon's passion for the customer—someone who understands the importance of compelling features and functionalities in driving great experience. In addition, the candidate will also be able to influence without authority and earn trust of a wide range of cross-functional, tech/non-tech stakeholders.

  Focus and deliverables

  Identify and prioritize the most immediate improvement opportunities across New and Existing Seller Success.

  Benchmark competitive experiences across Emerging Countries (outside of North Americas, Japan, UK), and define and implement a roadmap of improvements in Seller Experience to drive Seller Success.

  Continuous enhancements to Seller facing systems to ensure growth levers are optimized and fine tuned to specific seller cohorts.

  Basic qualifications

  Must-have experience/criteria for role:

  Proven track record of customer obsession.

  Demonstrated ability to think both strategically and tactically.

  Ability to prioritize in an ambiguous environment.

  5+ years of product management experience.

  Demonstrated ability to formulate data-driven decisions that lead to results.

  Demonstrated ability to conceptualize, manage, and prioritize multiple projects.

  Exceptional interpersonal, communication (spoken and written) and influencing skills and an ability to navigate a complex and unstructured cross-functional environment.

  People management experience

  The position will be based in Amazon’s office in Bangalore.

  Bengaluru, KA, IND

  Basic Qualifications

  7+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience

  3+ years of team management experience

  Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product

  Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition

  Experience with end to end product delivery

  Preferred Qualifications

  Experience relying on analytics and data to cultivate deep customer empathy, shape product decisions and track effectiveness of change

  Experience working with a cross-functional team across design, operations, and engineering team to meet high-reaching goals
