Position Summary:
The Med Renewal Center Specialist provides clerical and customer service support for the Patient Contact Center.
Qualifications:
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS NA CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS Completion of a Medical Terminology course within one (1) year of hire. EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS One (1) Customer Service or One (1) Office setting SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE Strong verbal and written communication skills. Intermediate Microsoft Office Suite. Demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize work, provide oral and written instructions, interact tactfully with customers and establish and maintain effective relationships with others. Must be able to apply specific departmental policies rules and regulations relating to verifying patient information, collecting payments and maintaining records and forms.
Essential Functions:
Communicates status of renewals to patients and/or physician offices
Maintains departmental schedule documents.
Collects and enters faxed medication renewal orders from clinic departments.
Assists in the scheduling of appointments and/or lab work.
Requisitions and reporting for Patient Contact Center.
Collect daily data to sumbit morning and evening reports
Contact patients as directed-for appointments
Change PCP
inform refills have been sent to the pharmacy
