AWS Professional Services is seeking a Senior Practice Manager to lead our Canadian Federal Government consulting practice. As a Senior Practice Manager, you will be responsible for building and managing a consulting business, leading a team of exceptionally talented professionals and engaging deeply with customers to architect and implement innovative solutions. You will be responsible for driving, capturing and selling opportunities and own driving engagement delivery.
You bring a diverse IT and/or Management Consulting background and knowledge of industry IT trends within the Public Sector space, leveraging this credibility as a strategic advisor to our customers, partners and internally across AWS.
You're able to craft an innovative, forward-looking strategy while clearly outlining the investment and multi-step go-to-market plan necessary to help AWS customers lead the changes to IT strategy, policies, processes, people, governance and partnerships.

Basic Qualifications
• 10+ years of experience leading a consulting practice serving Federal Government or Federal Crown Corporations as manager with P&L responsibility, or equivalent experience
• 7+ years of experience with Federal Government contracting procedures, standards and specifications, or equivalent experience
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
• Currently holds or is eligible to obtain a Canadian Federal Government Level II (SECRET) Security Clearance
• Ability to travel throughout North America up to 25% of the time.
Preferred Qualifications
• Current or former CTO/CIO, Vice President or consulting firm Partner who has helped transform organizations via cloud transformation
• High-level of skill communicating and collaborating effectively across internal and external organizations, comfortable with business and technical discussions
• Experience negotiating contracts in a Federal Government context
• Experience attracting new talent, developing team capabilities, and performing people management responsibilities
• Experience in a fast-paced, startup (or startup-like) environment
