　　Avantor is looking for a dedicated and creative Sr. Manager, Tax Operations to optimize our Tax team, delivering results against some of the most complex business and technology initiatives.

　　Reporting to the SVP - Global Tax, the Sr. Manager, Tax Operations will be responsible for facilitating and leading the preparation and review company federal tax returns and the accurate, timely filing of all tax forms. Develop tax strategies and policies that help the business maintain compliance with local and federal tax laws and regulations. Find and implement opportunities for process improvement in company tax procedures.

　　This is a hybrid role: 3 days per week in the Radnor, PA (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday)What we're looking for:

　　Education: Requires a bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Admin; Masters in Tax or Accounting, MBA or JD a plus

　　CPA or Enrolled Agent preferred

　　Experience: 7+ years of demonstrated ability in Corporate Income Tax with either Big 4 or multinational company

　　Proficient with Microsoft Office Applications - Word; Excel, & PowerPoint

　　Familiarity with interpreting OneSource Tax Provision Reports

　　Familiar with either RIA or CCH tax research softwareWho you are:

　　Demonstrate an understanding of moderate US and International tax concepts and actively pursue increased tax knowledge through special assignments and current tax developments. Foreign jurisdiction tax knowledge a plus

　　Manage the process of gathering, documenting, and reviewing GAAP-tax differences used in the quarterly tax provision process under ASC 740 (formerly FAS 109) including reviewing and approving the reconciliation of income tax balance sheet accounts and tax basis balance sheets.

　　Direct staff in leveraging tax provision data to prepare necessary workpapers to fulfill tax compliance obligations

　　Work with Global finance/tax teams to review that quarterly tax provisions are prepared in compliance with global requirements, processes, and deadlines.

　　Facilitate and lead the preparation and review of company tax returns and ensure accurate, timely filing of consolidated Federal, State & Local, and Provincial tax returns and other business-related filings and estimated payments for the US & Canada.

　　Coordinate gathering of cash taxes in support of group free cashflow management and oversight of estimated payments throughout the group

　　Lead various regulatory/statutory tax audits including preparing responses, creating schedules, etc.

　　Research, quantify, and provide guidance to management on tax implications of business strategies and transactions including maintaining necessary documentation to support various tax positions.

　　Find, implement, and document opportunities for process improvement in company tax procedures.

　　Deploy know-how to expand use of technology throughout the tax process including the leverage of tax specific and general data analytic tools

　　Manage external service provider for US tax compliance including codeveloping and leading engagement budgets and team resources

　　Review quarterly and annual international aspects of ASC 740 reporting, required disclosure, and assistance in preparing documentation related to Sarbanes-Oxley requirements

　　Assist in improving global corporate organizational structure and implementation of restructurings in furtherance of business model transition and company's global tax and cash management strategies. Understanding and application of transfer pricing concepts a plus

　　Research; quantify, and document tax positions and strategies via the development of templates for future application or by means of comprehensive technical memo

　　Establish/maintain long-term working relationships with internal clients and colleagues.

　　Share knowledge to develop professionally and enhance service delivery.

　　Facilitate communication and provide ample assistance to team members.

　　Develop junior staff

　　Other duties as assigned.
