Kforce's client in Durham, North Carolina (NC) is seeking a Senior IT Engineer.Summary:The Senior IT Engineer is the Technical Lead for the Infrastructure team and is responsible for the design, implementation, optimization, and management of the company's IT infrastructure, including servers, network devices, storage systems, backup systems, and security systems. This position is hybrid eligible with onsite and remote work accommodations as travel to office locations as assigned is required.Essential Functions:
Senior IT Engineer will design, implement, optimize, and manage servers, network devices, storage systems, backup systems, and security systems, using various tools and technologies
Perform advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis of IT issues and provide effective and timely solutions
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to other IT staff and oversee IT projects and initiatives
Evaluate and recommend new IT solutions and technologies to improve the efficiency and performance of the IT infrastructure and ensure compatibility and integration with existing systems
As a Senior IT Engineer, you will ensure alignment with IT strategies and goals and follow best practices for IT security and disaster recovery
Develop and maintain IT policies and standards, and document IT procedures and processes
Performs other duties as required and assigned by the Manager, including schedule changes and travel to office locations as assigned
Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent work experience
MCSA, MCSE, CCNA, CCNP, VCP, NCDA, SCSA, or equivalent
Minimum of 5 years of experience as an IT Systems Administrator, IT Engineer, or similar role, in a healthcare environment
Expert knowledge and experience with Azure, Windows and Linux server administration, Active Directory, Exchange, SQL Server, VMware, Hyper-V, Cisco, NetApp, Symantec, and other IT systems and technologies
Expert knowledge and experience with IT security, backup, and disaster recovery solutions and tools
Expert knowledge and experience with ITIL, HIPAA, and other IT standards and regulations
Excellent troubleshooting and critical thinking skills, and ability to work independently and as part of a team
Excellent communication and people skills, and ability to provide technical leadership and mentorship to other IT staff
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
