DescriptionECC is seeking a Senior Geophysicist. We are considering remote candidateswithin the continental US, candidates near an ECC office preferred. TheSenior Geophysicistwill support the Munitions Response Division (MRD) andlead all geophysical efforts associated with Military Munitions ResponseProgram (MMRP) investigations and remediation projects. The SeniorGeophysicist will be integrated into all phases of proposal preparation,project execution, and report development. This position works closely toadvise Project Managers within various offices in the proper application ofgeophysical methods and will oversee teams performing the collection andprocessing of both traditional Digital Geophysical Mapping (DGM) andAdvanced Geophysical Classification (AGC) data.In this position, you will:
Develop technical and cost approaches for proposals that relate to bothterrestrial, underwater, and airborne geophysical surveysPrepare and/or review work plans and Munitions Response Quality AssuranceProject Plans (MR-QAPP) for geophysical surveysWork closely with Project Managers and project teams to ensure geophysicalsurveys are performed in accordance with plans and governing specifications,attend project meetings and engage with customersWork with subcontractors/vendors to identify and secure required equipmentand services to plan and conduct geophysical surveysSupervise subcontractors and teams performing traditional DGM and AGC datacollection activities and provide quality control of all processes and dataproducts to ensure quality metrics are achievedPrepare and/or review geophysical survey reportsPerform other duties as assigned to support the Munitions Response Division(MRD)Requirements:A minimum of 5 years of experience directly related to the geophysicalmapping, detection, and discrimination of buried military munitionsMeeting all requirements listed for Experienced Personnel in EM 200-1-15related to a Senior GeophysicistPrevious experience with both traditional DGM and AGC processes and sensors(APEX, Metal Mapper, MPV, Ultra TEM, etc.)Knowledge of the MR-QAPP Toolkit Modules and other applicable industryguidance documents and instructions related to the design of MECcharacterization and removal actionsAbility to develop well written technical approaches, reports, andcorrespondence to effectively communicate within project teamsHigh level of proficiency using all Microsoft applications that includeWord, Excel, Access, SharePoint, Outlook, and TeamsProficiency with GIS, VSP, Geosoft UXO Land & UX-Analyze, and otherapplicable software and programsMust be able to obtain and maintain military base pass as requiredTravel required: Able and willing to travel up to 25% to performpre-proposal and project related site visits.Other travel (meetings,conference attendance, etc.) will depend on the needs of the company.Education: Bachelor's degree in geophysics, geology, geologicalengineering, or a closely related field.Preferred Qualifications
