Work Conditions: Hybrid or fully remote
The Senior Financial Analyst, reporting to and assisting the company’s Director of Finance and working with other teams (Operations Management, Culinary Management, Accounting), in analysis and management of all financial, record-keeping and reporting responsibilities for the company or assigned portfolio of restaurants or group. This position will regularly work with both Operations and Culinary teams to optimize labor and Food Cost, develop systems and tools to improve processes, provide direction and instruction/oversight to restaurant management in optimal analysis and management of revenue, and provide training and guidance to increase financial acumen at the restaurant level.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Creates and publishes reports and presentations with actionable insights
Analyze and understand key drivers of restaurant revenue and expense
Labor and COGS will be specific areas of concentration
Builds credibility as a trusted partner to Operations and Culinary management teams
Train restaurant managers and chefs on a variety of concepts and systems:
Labor management
COGS and pricing
Understanding the P&L
Will develop, maintain, and update KPI and other financial or operational reports
Will assist in preparation of weekly reporting to management and restaurants
Will assist in preparation and presentation of monthly P&L reviews to management team
Create and maintain Annual Budget Files, including both individual restaurant level and consolidated
Aid in the budget process at both the restaurant level and the corporate level
Upload budgets and other data into data warehousing applications
May track and maintain cap ex reserves and schedules
May provide training to other MG team members in Excel or other systems or processes
May build and maintain databases and documentation of data sources
May aid in new restaurant openings (setting up systems, P&L’s, budgets, pre-opening cost reconciliation, etc.)
Must maintain confidentiality of financial and strategic information at both restaurant and corporate level

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: May require travel to local sites to effectively complete essential functions of this role. Overnight travel may be required on an as-needed basis, e.g., new restaurant opening, or training, which will be determined at the discretion of the company.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
5+ years of professional work experience, preferably experience in restaurants, hospitality, or retail
3-5 years of expertise in Financial Analysis

Labor models and reporting
Payroll data
Cost of Goods
Complex spreadsheets
Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
Ability to easily learn technology systems and platforms
Excellent communication skills, ability to communicate with all levels of the organization clearly and respectfully, both in writing and verbally
Ability to explain financial concepts to those with non-finance backgrounds
EDUCATION:
BA/BS, preferably in Accounting, Finance, or Hospitality or equivalent required
MBA or CPA a plus
