The Hazardous Waste and Toxics Reduction program within the Department of Ecology is looking to fill a* Senior Dangerous Waste Permit Analyst (Regulatory Analyst 3)(In-Training)* position. Dangerous waste permits provide the site-specific regulations for those facilities that treat, store, dispose of, or recycle, dangerous wastes. In this position you have the opportunity to affect dangerous waste permit development, statewide dangerous waste permit policy, and through this work, protect human health and the environment. The HWTR program currently administers five dangerous waste permits. These are large, complex facilities with equally complex permit documents.
This position is located* *in one of the following locations:
Headquarters Office in* *Lacey, WA.{rel="nofollow"}
Northwest Region Office (NWRO) *in *Shoreline, WA{rel="nofollow"}.
Upon hire, you must live within a commutable distance from the duty station.
Please Note: If the final location of this position is determined to be in our Northwest Region Office (NWRO) in Shoreline, WA{target="_blank" rel="noopener"}. there will be an additional 5% pay increase due to its location in King County. In this instance the salary range will be $5,752 - $8,750 per month. Note: *This position offers a career path and on-the-job training. This position allows you to progress through the Regulatory Analyst field and achieve the goal class of a *Regulatory Analyst 3 (RA3). Candidates will be considered at the Regulatory Analyst 2 in-training *and the Regulatory Analyst 3* levels, depending on their qualifications.
