OverviewThe Utah State University (USU) Rehabilitation Counseling program (RCP) seeks to hire a Professional Practice Assistant Professor with experience working in a variety of rehabilitation counseling settings.
This position will have a heavy focus on teaching and advising in the USU RCP and teaching responsibilities will be dispersed across the fall, spring, and summer semesters. The majority of courses in the USU RCP are delivered using distance technologies and use both live-broadcast and asynchronous methods of instruction.
The highly qualified candidate will collaborate with university colleagues and community members and teach courses in the Master's of Rehabilitation Counseling program. In addition to serving those with mental health concerns, special consideration would be given to applicants with a history of serving individuals with physical, cognitive, and intellectual disabilities with co-occurring mental health concerns.
This position will be physically located at the USU main campus in Logan. This is a 1.0 FTE, term appointment, nine-month academic year position.

ResponsibilitiesServe as a member of the Department of Special Education and Rehabilitation Counseling faculty; this entails:
Designing and delivering coursework according to accreditation and program expectations;Teaching on-campus and distance graduate classes in the Rehabilitation Counseling Masters program;Summer teaching;Advising, mentoring, and providing clinical supervision to graduate students;Participating in department and university program development, committees, and service activities; andCollaborating with other department faculty in writing grants for extramural funding.QualificationsRequired Qualifications
Hold masters degree in rehabilitation counseling or a closely related field, preferably from a CACREP accredited program.
Hold or be eligible for full-licensure within the State of Utah as a Clinical Mental Health Counselor (CMHC; );
Have experience providing rehabilitation counseling to a variety of clients;
Have knowledge of technology-enhanced college teaching and electronic distance education modalities (both synchronous and asynchronous);
Possess expertise in multicultural teaching modalities and clinical competencies;
Have experience providing direct career exploration and development or other services to individuals with disabilities;
