Amazon Air is seeking a Senior Business Development Manager to identify and develop game-changing air transportation solutions for Amazon’s middle-mile transportation network, with the goal of improving our customers’ experience.
Key job responsibilities
Serving as commercial leader on all international airline projects
Building airline relationships with carriers across region
Developing commercial strategy, and carrier business case analysis
Deep diving airline financials, aircraft economics, operational capabilities, and project timelines
Leading negotiations with selected carriers to successful resolution
Ensuring existing international contracts and payments are well managed
Communicating commercial activities to senior leadership
Engaging business, technical, legal and finance stakeholders at all times
About the team
The Fleet, Aviation Sourcing, and Technical (FAST) organization's role is to set the short, medium, and long-term sourcing strategies to enable the Amazon Global Air business to be successful. The organization oversees projects covering fleet, air carriers, ground handling, airframe and power-plant maintenance, ground support equipment, loading containers, fuel, and sustainability.
Within FAST, the Global Carrier Commercial team are accountable for air carrier strategy, contracts, and payments.

Basic Qualifications
A degree
Proven experience of procurement, strategy, or finance experience in aviation
Experience managing projects, from conception to end delivery
Ability to communicate results to senior leadership
Experience leading large and complex negotiations
Experience drafting and reviewing contracts
Preferred Qualifications
MBA, or Master's degree in supply chain management, operations, engineering, analytics or related field
Aviation industry experience
Experience with airline belly cargo, blocked space, or charter agreements
