Position Purpose:
The Senior Analyst, Technology Strategy, is a key member of the team that leads planning and prioritization of Home Depot’s enterprise technology investments. The Senior Analyst partners with business and technology leaders to develop and communicate enterprise-level technology strategies. The Senior Analyst leads high value strategic projects at the direction of the technology leadership team.
The ideal candidate is able to thrive in a rapidly changing, dynamic environment and leverage foundational business, technology, and finance knowledge to identify problems/opportunities, collaborate with teammates, develop solutions, and present strategies to leadership.
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Develop corporate strategic planning processes for technology, continuously evolving processes to improve agility, transparency, and value
Coordinate with business and technology leaders to prioritize opportunities and manage changes to financial plan as decisions are made
Develop enterprise-level technology strategies and executive communications
Prepare business cases to articulate the financial value of strategic business and technology initiatives
Lead coordination of quarterly strategy meetings with technology leadership team
Track investment and progress of key priorities through the year and prepare reporting to drive understanding across the business
Perform benchmarking to enable reporting that improves understanding across business and IT
.
Key Responsibilities:
25% Oversee the administration of financial policies.
25% Conducts special financial studies and coordinates with other departments in the preparation of statistical studies.
25% Performs internal and external economic research and analyzes issues related to specific financial metrics to ensure competitiveness
5% Compiles or prepares reports, graphs and charts of data developed.
10% Recommends changes in financial analysis methods or procedures.
10% Assists and supervises Financial Analysts in the daily preparation and conduct of their work.
Direct Manager/Direct Reports:
Typically reports to a Director level
This position has no direct reports.
Travel Requirements:
Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.Physical Requirements:
Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.Working Conditions:
Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
Under constant pressure to continuously meet tight deadlines, demanding quotas and/or must regularly deal with difficult situations.
Minimum Qualifications:
Must be eighteen years of age or older.
Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications:
The typical candidate has 2-3 years of related experience in Strategy, Consulting, Finance, and/or Technology.
Ability to thrive in a rapidly changing, dynamic environment.
Ability to find solutions to complex issues.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills and ability to operate in a team environment.
Knowledge and/or experience with modern finance, technology, and/or business topics.
Passion for taking ownership of projects and tasks and leading initiatives through to results; strong project management skills.
Advanced skills in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Information Systems, Economics or equivalent.
Minimum Education:
