A Kforce client is seeking to hire a Senior Accountant in the Grand Rapids, Michigan (MI) area. This position is with a well-established and growing multi-location service-based company and will be the finance business partner over multiple locations. This is a hybrid work environment.Responsibilities include:
The Senior Accountant will work collaboratively with facility leadership and other supporting departments to develop, review, and adjust budgets; Provide regular and timely updates on spending to allow for proactive decision making as it relates to business operations
Evaluate and monitor spending against budgets for sustainability, allowability, and program alignment
The Senior Accountant is responsible for timely and accurate reporting of financial statements, spending as it relates to budget
Acquire and maintain expertise regarding applicable federal, state, local laws, and accounting rules and regulations
As a Senior Accountant, you will communicate clearly to teammates, vendors, and other departments, while providing excellent customer service
Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required, with 3-5 years of general accounting and financial statement preparation experience
Experience working in interdependent teams requiring strong collaborative skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Self-directed, highly motivated, growth minded
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
