Security Sales Engineer – Cloud Software Job Description

We seek a dynamic individual who will engage with the sales teams to provide pre-sales technical expertise and deliver product demonstrations, proofs-of-concept, and sales training for our Cloud and Software team in EMEA.If you are the right candidate, you have worked closely with sales professionals and have delivered successful software implementations. If this describes you, we would love to speak with you!As a Security Sales Engineer, your key responsibility is to define technical solutions and effectively influence and gain support from key stakeholders, either in a customer-facing or internal role using the Thinkshield security portfolio. We are looking for an individual who has 8-10 years of experience in sales engineering, customer engineering, solutions engineering, security analysis, and customer advocacy engineers with back background in network security, and various web technologies. RESPONSIBILITIES
Primary technical resource to support our EMEA sales team on their opportunities and prospects,
Supporting prospects in understanding Lenovo’s Thinkshield security offerings at a business and technical level that include security technologies: Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR/MDR/XDR), supply chain security, firmware security, Security Information and Event Management (SIEM), Data Loss Prevention (DLP), Network Detection & Response (NDR), Security Operations Center (SOC), Patching, Security Risk Assessments, Threat Hunting (TH) etc.
Architect and implement security solutions using security reference architecture and best practices for SMB and commercial customers.
Provide pre-sales technical assistance as well as product training to customers, partners, and sales teams
Represent the company in key initiatives and develop relationships with relevant IT security business partners and system integrators.
Support the GTM motion for the region and execute on sales pipeline on a quarterly/yearly basis
Deliver Demos, Proofs-of-Concept (PoC)/Proof of Value (PoV) at the customer, partner locations, or virtually as needed.
Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and the competitive landscape to provide informed recommendations to sales teams and clients.
Work closely with Lenovo channel partners and their customers to provide excellent customer service.
Collaborate with teams from Sales Teams, Product Management, DevOps, Customer Support, Services, Marketing, and Leadership.
Troubleshoot faulty systems and software and develop plans to resolve issues
Train, certify, and support partner technical engineers on Lenovo Software solutions.
EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS
8-10 Proven experience in a technical sales or pre-sales role within the cybersecurity domain.
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field. Advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM) is a plus.
In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity technologies, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, endpoint security (EDR/XDR/MDR), encryption, and various compliance standards including GDPR, ISO27001, and NIST.
Understanding or previous experience on UEM applications including Microsoft Intune, SCCM, Ivanti patch is a plus
Strong understanding of network security, cloud security, and related technologies.
Excellent presentation and communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to diverse audiences.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
This position is remote but may require up to 20% travel.
