　　GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITIONThe Machinist 2 sets up and operates a variety of CNC machines which may include: CNC Mills, CNC Lathes, Vertical Machining Centers, and surface grinders to machine ceramic parts. Machinists are expected to run 1-5 machines simultaneously and understand all aspects of set up and precision measuring. They may also train other operators and machinists.

　　REQUIREMENTS:

　　High school diploma or GED required.3 years CNC experience to include completion of 2-year Machine Technology certificateAbility to read and comprehend verbal and written instructions in English.Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide all units of measure including decimal fractions.Read mechanical drawings/blueprints including GD and TVision and depth perception suitable for use of inspection microscopes.
