　　Job Title: Pipette Technician

　　The Pipette Technician is an entry to junior level position. He/she will perform routine and moderately complex work, with minimal supervision, related to the receipt, processing, cleaning, calibration, and minor repair of electronic or manual single-channel and multi-channel pipettes. The work may be performed at A&P Calibrations, Inc. or at the customer site. The Pipette Technician will use calibration procedures and measurement systems in compliance with customer, CGMP and/or ISO requirements

　　Responsibilities:

　　Perform routine and moderately complex work, with minimal supervision

　　Calibrate, repair, and troubleshoot single and multiple channel, manual or electronic pipettes

　　Operate pipette database to include specification and customer requirements information

　　Re-calibrate repaired pipettes from suppliers

　　Operate and level analytical electronic balances during pipette calibration

　　Work in a calibration laboratory

　　Evaluate results of calibrations for certificate acceptance to deliver to QA

　　Use calibration procedures and measurement systems on customer equipment in compliance

　　Maintain Pipette Lab and Environmental Controls

　　Drive company vehicles and as needed, personal vehicles during working hours

　　Requirements:

　　High School Diploma or Vocational Program required. Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Biomedical or Life Sciences preferred.

　　May be entry level up to two (2) year’s instrument maintenance/calibration experience in a cGMP compliant organization such as in the pharmaceutical, biotech or medical device industries, specific experience with Pipettes in a laboratory or research environment preferred.

　　Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedures, and manuals. Ability to write correspondence and procedures, complete forms. Ability to speak effectively (English) before groups of customers, or employees of A&P Calibrations, Inc.
