SecOps Solutions Engineer
What does a great SecOps Solution Engineer do?
The SecOps Solution Engineer will create a strategy and drive implementation of Secure Software Supply Chain concepts across the enterprise. With a huge focus on Security, you would be able to work with different critical projects shifting left on security by enabling automated security testing and vulnerability remediation. This role would also work on ensuring DevOps / CICD Pipeline integrity, creating Audit Reports and Deployment Risk Analysis/Score.
What you will do:
A key player in the DevSecOps team developing and demonstrating proactive detection and communication of security vulnerabilities via automated application scans and related proactive testing collaboration and exercises
Providing security assessments assuring product companies that supported applications are free from known security vulnerabilities before production deployment
Outlining recommendations for supplemental vulnerability-mitigating strategies and assisting in the definition of secure software development standards and efficiencies
A strong aptitude to learn and adopt new technical skills may substitute for one or more job requirements
What you will need to have :
Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or related field, with 3+ years experience as an Application Software Engineer
Understanding of service-oriented architecture with programming experience in Visual Basic, VB.Net, C#, Java, JavaScript, XML, XPATH, HTML or SQL
Experience with Windows Server administration tasks, e.g. installing applications, monitoring application/system status, configuring log services, etc.
Experience with database administration tasks, e.g. database backup/restore operations, building indexes, scheduling tasks, etc.
Understanding of industry-defined application security standards, secure coding practices, methods of vulnerability detection and remediation strategies
Experience with application vulnerability scan utilities, including use of SDKs or development extensions to automate and optimize application scanning processes
Effective written communication of secure software development/test objectives, results, analysis, recommendations and standards definition
Demonstrated ability to work productively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while exercising professionalism in communication with all levels of management
What would be great to have:
Experience with Cloud-based software solutions, Azure
Proficient in Python programming with demonstrated ability to write, test, debug, and maintain scripts for DevOps tasks such as automation, configuration management, monitoring, and deployment
