WestRock in Downers Grove, IL is looking for a Second Press Operator. This is a 12-hour night shift position (6pm-6am).

　　Pay is cumulative with experience. We are also offering a shift differential of $2.50/hour.

　　GENERAL PURPOSE: Assist the First Press Operator in the operation and maintenance of the assigned press.

　　ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

　　Reviews job ticket, brings stock and ink to press, makes sure all paper is accounted for and ink is the correct color/type.

　　Examines printed sheet along with First Press Operator during press run for quality assurance.

　　Feeds paper during press run and operates continuous feeder in an efficient manner.

　　Ensures press does not run short of ink or chemicals.

　　Washes press during change over, or end of shift wash up

　　Maintains awareness of policies and safety procedures.

　　QUALIFICATIONS:

　　Minimum 3 years’ experience on a sheet fed press.

　　Must have good color perception.

　　Work with densitometers, spectrophotometers, calculators, computer terminals, gloss meters, PH/conductivity meters.

　　Must be able to perform basic arithmetic including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.

　　Maintain good attendance and be dependable.

　　Must be willing to work overtime as needed.
