Job Summary
The primary role is to reconcile cash and credit card transactions to ensure that the financials are properly stated and risks are properly identified while providing excellent customer service to our field operations, corporate departments and external customers. This role is a hybrid role based in Charlotte, NC.
Essential Job Functions
Prepare monthly reconciliations for cash and credit card transactions and escalate appropriate items to Management. In addition to maintaining Bank Reconciliation Status checklist.
Reconcile weekly data load for cash and credit card accounts
Perform weekly cash general ledger account research for bank adjustments and work with the Bank/Corporate Depts. to identify solutions to resolve issues in a timely manner
Validate field/corporate requests and process journal entries and complete stop payment requests for Payroll/Payable checks
Respond to internal audit requests (Remedy) related to unit LPR's (Loss Prevention Report)
Provide ad hoc requests for the Field/Corporate Depts
Distribute mail daily and upload manual bank statements
Identify best practices within the role and strive to improve processes
Assist management with ad hoc projects and tasks as assigned
System Skills/Abilities
· Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel
· Knowledge of SAP a plus
· Knowledge of Excel PivotTable a plus
· Familiarity with ReconArt reconciliation software is desired
Qualifications
Two-year degree in Accounting or Business with Accounting Concentration or greater than 3+ years related work experience.
Good communication skills, verbal and written
Excellent customer service skills
Strong analytical skills and knowledge of General Ledger Bank Accounts
High level of attention to detail with the ability to effectively communicate exceptions when necessary.
Strong organization skills as well as the ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment
Must be a quick learner and self-motivated
Perform other accounting tasks as needed
