Our client is a dynamic and growing company in the service industry and they are seeking a talented SEC Manager to join their team. This is a remote position, but candidates must reside in the Greater Houston market and be open to occasional in-office meetings.

Job Description:

As the SEC Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our client's external financial reporting. You will be responsible for overseeing the preparation and filing of their SEC reports, including Forms 10-K, 10-Q, and 8-K, as well as managing the stock-based compensation accounting process.

Responsibilities:

Prepare and file accurate and timely SEC reports, including Forms 10-K, 10-Q, and 8-K

Manage the stock-based compensation accounting process, including equity grants, forfeitures, and disclosures.

Coordinate with external auditors to ensure compliance with GAAP and SEC reporting requirements.

Stay current with new accounting pronouncements and SEC regulations.

Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather necessary information for SEC filings.

Ensure compliance with internal controls over financial reporting.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance

CPA or equivalent qualification required.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in external reporting, preferably in a publicly traded company
