DESCRIPTION OF WORK
This is a professional position in the Bureau of Safe Drinking Water that is based in the Northcentral Regional office in Williamsport; and provides support primarily to Northcentral and Northeastern Pennsylvania. The position is under the general direction of the Technical Assistance Section Chief located in Harrisburg. The employee in this position will ensure compliance with Commonwealth rules and regulations governing public health protection. The employee develops, coordinates, implements, evaluates, and manages various activities used to ensure that uniformity of actions and technical program requirements are met in water programs. This position develops statewide policy, procedures, technical guidance, specialized training programs and tools, data management systems, proposed legislation, and rules and regulations.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Full-time employment.Work hours are 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, Monday - Friday, with 60-minute lunch.Occasional overtime is needed when conducting multi-day evaluations.*Telework: *You will have the opportunity to work from home (telework), part-time up to 3 days a week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
Three years of professional environmental protection experience; and a bachelor's degree in the biological, physical, or environmental sciences, engineering, or in a field closely related to environmental protection or regulation; orAn equivalent combination of experience and training that includes three years of professional environmental protection experience.
