  Position Summary:

  To assist with the highly complex and crucia l implementation of EPIC at Memorial Hermann Hospital-TMC as it relates to all imaging services , both inpatient and outpatient, provided by UT radiologists.

  To ensure that Radiology’s book of business at MHH-TMC is set up correctly to interface all charges generated by UT radiologists at the hospital to UT’s billing system (representing approximately 500,000 instances of services).

  Position Key Accountabilities:

  Serve as primary contact and Business Source Expert (BSE) for the department during the implementation of EPIC at MHH-TMC in order to safeguard the transmission of $ 100M + in yearly gross charges to UT’s EPIC billing system.

  Provide coding and billing expertise of imaging services.

  Ensure that all fields interfaced from MHH are set up correctly and in compliance with billing and documentation standards and regulations.

  Ensure test runs meet all requirements for the accurate, effective, and efficient transmission of billing data.

  Validating test results in CodeRyte and UT-EPIC.

  Collaborate with UT-IT and RCM to deliver expected results.

  Attend regular meeting with RCM, UIT-IT, and MHH-TMC

  Certification/Skills: NONE

  Minimum Education: High School

  Minimum Experience:

  Highly skilled professional with expert knowledge of all aspects of the charge capture, coding, and billing of radiology services with extensive and solid experience in the field of at least 10-15 years).

  Physical Requirements:

  Exerts up to 20 pounds occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds frequently , and/or up to 5 pounds constantly to move objects. This position may include work involving potentially hazardous chemical, biological or radioactive agents .

  Security Sensitive: This job class may contain positions that are security sensitive and thereby subject to the provisions of Texas Education Code § 51.215

  Residency Requirement:

  Employees must permanently reside and work in the State of Texas.
