　　Description

　　Under the guidance of the Senior Scientist, the Scientist will be tasked with supervising and providing support for academic research partnerships. The primary objective of this role is to play a pivotal part in expanding and enriching the knowledge base in clinical and basic science related to cardiac unloading and cardiac recovery within the ISS/Academic Research group at Abiomed. The position involves supporting both pre-clinical and clinical research, collaborating with leading academic institutions, and serving as a liaison between the company and research sites.

　　Key Responsibilities:

　　Supporting Clinical Research Network:

　　Partner with academic institutions to facilitate scientific research publication in high impact-factor, peer-reviewed journals.

　　Assisting Senior Scientist:

　　Collaborate with the Senior Scientist in developing Company-sponsored randomized controlled trials and/or investigator-initiated studies.

　　Academic Liaison and Travel:

　　Travel to academic institutions involved in collaborative research to serve as a scientific liaison between the company and academic investigators.

　　Guiding Protocol Development:

　　Guide the decision-making process for protocol development and execution of high-quality pre-clinical experiments for internal research partners.

　　Identifying Collaborative Research Programs:

　　Identify and define collaborative research programs and specific objectives at key customer accounts and leading academic institutions.

　　Program Management:

　　Manage ongoing collaborative research programs to ensure continuous progress and timely completion of deliverables.

　　Publication Support:

　　Support the writing and preparation of research publications and presentations.

　　Active Participation in Research Projects:

　　Directly participate in various aspects of research projects as appropriate, including pre-clinical studies, clinical studies, and clinical data analysis.

　　Qualifications

　　Qualifications:

　　Master's or diploma degree in life sciences with a focus on biochemistry, molecular medicine, or a related field

　　Prior experience in directing and conducting academic research

　　Experience in clinical trial design and a comprehensive understanding of associated regulatory pathways

　　Minimum of 2 years' experience in the Medical Device Sector, preferably in Cardiovascular, or 2 years of post-doctoral training in a cardiovascular research lab

　　Demonstrated experience in writing and publishing the results of academic research

　　Innovative, independent, and reliable working behavior, coupled with high intrinsic motivation

　　Proactive team player with a readiness of mind and a strong passion for science

　　Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

　　Ability to travel nationally and internationally, approximately 15% of the time
