The Coordinator, Supply & Exchange coordinates various operational and reporting activities and provides analysis in support of both deal performance and negotiations. The role is within the Commercial US Clean Products Supply & Exchange team, reporting to the Director, Supply & Exchange and works regularly to support the Negotiators, Supply & Exchange. The position requires frequent interaction with various internal functions as well as external counterparties.
Responsibilities may include
Primary responsibility for coordination of operations, consisting of:
Monitoring and confirming exchange balances which entails financial book outs and bulk paybacks.
Assisting in administration of exchange agreements ensuring correctness and completeness.
Receiving from counterparts and providing to Schedulers monthly nominations for exchange deals.
Entering or modifying sale, purchase, or exchange deals within SAP as needed.
Updating DTN Tabs and allocation to counterparts.
Terminal & Product setups in support of Marketing.
Inventory monitoring and forecasting.
Monitoring transmix operations and associated communications.
Providing occasional backup coverage for Negotiators requiring additional external touchpoints with counterparts.
Primary responsibility for coordination of reporting, consisting of:
Maintenance and enhancement of Tableau dashboards (or equivalent) to assist in summarizing and assessing deals and performance.
Primary and secondary transfer cost auditing, analysis, and optimization.
Supporting efforts to increase Supply Book transparency.
Assisting with capturing and tracking value (both Supply Book and imbeds) from various long and short-term deals.
Analysis in support of optimization, consisting of:
Reviewing exchange activity, volume trends, and relevant supply book activity and reporting on any anomalies, trends, or opportunities.
Actively tracking utilization and profitability of exchanges and term purchase or sales deals.
Helping identify additional opportunities that leverage our asset base or lower our supply cost.
Providing negotiations support by analyzing alternatives—both internal to P66 and those of our counterparts—and making recommendations to Negotiators as well as participating in negotiation discussions as needed.
Assisting with annual review process for term deals as needed.
Providing ad-hoc analysis as needed.
In service of the above, developing and maintaining good relationships with internal stakeholders including Commercial, Marketing, Accounting, Inventory, and F&PA.
Required Qualifications
Legally authorized to work in the job posting country
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain Management, or relevant field
3 or more years of experience within the Energy industry
Preferred Qualifications
5 or more years of experience in an analytical or operational role(s), supporting Commercial Supply & Trading activity, VCO, Refining, or Marketing
Strong proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, SAP, Tableau/Power BI, and Alteryx DV
Solid financial and economic analysis skills
Working knowledge and understanding of downstream operations and value drivers
Highly developed written, verbal communication and presentation skills
Proactive thinking, detail-oriented & creative problem-solving skills to support business focused analysis and decisions
High degree of ethics, personal drive and dedication to achieve team goals and general interest objectives
Basic understanding of downstream operations, supply chain, and value drivers
Ability to technically and fundamentally analyze data to recommend actions to stakeholders
Ability to adapt to changing work environments and make continuous improvements
Ability to set, manage, and meet multiple and competing priorities
Ability to work remotely via cellphone and/or laptop computer and willingness to work non-standard hours on occasion
