We are currently searching for a Scientific Program Assistant to support the National Institutes of Health (NIH). This opportunity is a full-time position with Guidehouse and it is onsite at NIH Campus, Bethesda, MD.
What You Will Do :
Serve as a receptionist in the office setting by greeting visitors, checking them in/out, and directing them appropriately.
Act as a personal assistant to the office manager or executive staff by managing calendars and scheduling appointments.
Assist with customer support activities, such as answering phone calls, responding to emails, and addressing inquiries or concerns.
Perform various clerical duties, including filing documents, data entry, photocopying, and scanning.
Provide program coordination support, including organizing and maintaining files, tracking deadlines, and assisting with documentation.
Coordinate and assist with event planning tasks, such as scheduling meetings, booking venues, arranging catering, and managing event logistics.
Perform other administrative duties as assigned.
What You Will Need :
High school diploma or equivalent required
Minimum one (1) year of experience working administratively in an office setting.
Proven experience in an administrative role or similar position is preferred.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Proficient in using computer software programs such as Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism and empathy.
Attention to detail and accuracy in performing clerical tasks.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
What Would Be Nice To Have :
Additional education or certification in office administration is a plus.
Prior NIH experience is preferred.
