As an OEM Sales Specialist, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing multiple account strategies focused on growth, profitability and customer satisfaction while coordinating all sales activities and managing resolution of customer problems. Responsibilities include assisting with project quotations, order management, customer training and demand generation to position ABB as the preferred vendor.This position reports toArea Sales ManagerYour responsibilitiesServe as the primary interface between OEM customers and ABBPlan and implement sales strategies to maximize market share, margin and customer satisfactionLeads the development and implementation of account plans; including the executive relationship strategy, coverage plan, prioritization of opportunities and development of sales targets for assigned accounts while ensuring achievement through a structured follow up processLeads the development and implementation of account training plans to ensure customers are educated on all ABB products, services & digital toolsProposes recovery plans in case of potential order shortfallsIdentify, connect with, and secure new OEM customers through techniques such as webinars, following cross functional leads, cold calling, networking, etc.Establishes and develops account relationships based on a defined strategy. Acts as focal point for problem resolution and monitors customer claimsEffectively communicate with internal teams to promote business needs of customer, including providing market feedback, competitive intelligence, and hit-rate informationPlans, facilitates and conducts customer negotiationsDevelops, maintains, and shares detailed knowledge of the customer's business strategy, purchasing behavior, organization, decision-makers, customer business drivers, economic trends, and competitionMonitors competitors' activity with each account and ensures that appropriate response strategies are formulated and implementedCreates added value for the customer and ABB by ensuring a coordinated sales approach, generating cross-selling leads and finding ways to make it easier to do business with ABBYour backgroundBA or BS with minimum of 8+ years related experienceExperience with complex contract negotiationsDemonstrated knowledge of electrical industry and ABB productsStrong interpersonal and leadership skillsExperience working with OEM customers and channel partnersStrong technical application, take-off, and proposal development skillsCustomer-focused mindset with proven ability to respond quickly to customer needsSix Sigma or equivalent Quality training preferredAbility to utilize analytical software and sales toolsBusiness travel in district to support assigned accounts as requiredUp to 50% local travel requiredCandidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the USBenefitsRetirement planLife insuranceDisability insuranceHealthcare planWellbeing programMore about usABB's Distribution Solutions Division provides utility, industrial and commercial customers with safe, smart and sustainable technologies for the distribution of electricity.
