The Opportunity:
The Sales Representative focuses on the overall marketplace and a variety of customers within a designated geographic territory or market. Involves critical thought processes, the ability to implement complex strategies, and a high level understanding of our companies go to market strategies as well as our short term and long term goals.
This position requires a high level of customer interaction and partnership, as well as the ability to connect our companies strengths with the needs of the market and individual customers.
How You will Impact WestRock:
Plans how to establish and maintain account relationships and meet personal sales targets.
Develops strong client relationships over time that provide significant input to planning company product, price, and service strategies.
Solicits new business opportunities within territory.
Develop a business plan for each account in addition to identify, solicit, develop, and secure new business opportunities within the territory.
Maintains a strong sales pipeline with the use of Salesforce.
Coordinates use of other company resources (e.g. technical, advertising) to provide value added services to accounts.
Grows market share, product margin and book of business within assigned territory.
Prepares, organize and present customer presentations.
Coordinates use of other company resources (e.g. customer service, technical, plant operations) to provide value added services to accounts.
Provides analysis and information on sales forecasts, new business and budget preparation.
What you need to succeed:
3-5+ years’ successful and progressive sales experience maintaining major account relationships and meeting personal sales targets within the full line of products or combination of products in the corrugated arena.
Sales experience with a QUANTIFIABLE record of success in new business development and sales goal achievement.
Proven prospecting, follow-up, and consultative selling abilities.
A strong business acumen, leadership skills, negotiation skills, conceptual and analytical skills, and interpersonal effectiveness.
Prior outside Sales experience within Manufacturing/corrugated or related industry strongly preferred.
A bachelor’s degree in a business-related discipline preferred.
