The Safety and Compliance team within Regulatory Intelligence, Safety and Compliance (RISC) team is looking for a Safety and Recalls Risk Manager to own the Recalls Program in UK, EU, and TR.
Key job responsibilities
Lead and own the safety and recalls program management in UK, EU and Turkey.
Partner with multiple Program, Policy & Governance, Legal, Tech teams to clearly define Safety and Recalls Requirements and Dependencies.
Partner with International Program teams to implement WW Governance, Inspection and Standardization on Safety and Recalls management.
Support Safety and Compliance regulatory contacts and escalations and record corrective and preventative actions when applicable.
Identify existing opportunities and failure modes in Program's lifecycle to develop solutions to resolve prioritized based on impact. Solutions are expected to range on a spectrum of manual to semi-automated to automated (world class solutions) with bias for action.
Build and maintain metrics & Present progress through WBR, MBRs, and QBRs
Develop short, medium, and long-term strategies to scale the program.
Deliver results to achieve stated goals and projects as assigned.

The Regulatory Intelligence, Safety, and Compliance team's charter is to protect customers from products that are unsafe, illegal, illegally marketed, controversial or otherwise in violation of Amazon's policies while enabling our Selling Partners to offer their broadest selection of safe and compliant products.

Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree
5+ years' experience in risk management or legal
Experience using oral and written communication to propose complex solutions and explanations
Previous experience creating and contributing to strategic planning processes
Previous experience owning a complex risk program, cross functional projects, multiple priorities and work streams
Experience working with global teams
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in business, finance, engineering, operations, logistics, supply chain, regulatory, risk management or related field
MBA, MS or MA (Logistics, Supply Chain, Engineering, Retail, Manufacturing or Equivalent)
Knowledge of the EU regulatory landscape pertaining to recalls and product safety standards
Demonstrated ability to define, plan, deliver and measure programs with a growing scope or complexity
Continuous improvement background (i.e. 6 sigma, ISO, Quality, etc.)
Experience working collaboratively with geographically distributed teams within a complex international organization
Experience working with public policy or legal team, influencing internal policy
Excellent organizational skills with critical attention to detail, deadlines and reporting
Demonstrated skill and passion for problem solving and operational excellence
Penchant for process improvement to mitigate risk and deliver a positive customer experience
Experience working independently and autonomously
