Sets-up and operates one or more of thefollowing: 100” Lathe (CNC) 72” Lathe (Manual), RL5 Tacchi (CNC) lathe, RSL-4(CNC) in the generator department and to perform various machining operationson a variety of parts and components. Perform other duties as assigned.Position requires high level of focus as any errors could result in injury toemployee or others and damage to high cost product.
How You’ll Make anImpact
Set up andoperate the CNC (Complex Numeric Control) and manual lathes in order toperform various operations on a variety of parts and components.
Machinerough forgings and shaft final machining on product weighing from 10 up to200 tons.
Position isalso responsible for mentoring of employees in the Siemens ApprenticeProgram.
Work inother areas of the campus on other products as needed.
What You Bring
Must havehigh school diploma or equivalent.
Need to have1-3 years of industrial-mechanical experience using CNC controls.
Need to have1-3 years of industrial-mechanical experience performing turningoperations; preferably lathe utilizing steady rest supports.
Require abasic knowledge of machine shop operations, together with the use ofcomplicated drawings, specifications, charts, tables, various types ofprecision measuring instruments and/or the training generally applicablein this particular or specialized occupation.
Ability toobtain fork truck and crane license. Prefer to have previous experience.

Our Gas Services division offers Low-emissionpower generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emissionpower generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines andgenerators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings,modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
