A Snapshot of Your Day
As a team member of the rotor-dynamics team and as a Siemens Energy Expert in Active Magnetic Bearings (AMBs), you will be engaged in a variety of activities which will vary from day to day.
In your role as rotor-dynamics team member, you will support the establishment and maintenance of rules governing the rotor-dynamic acceptability of novel compressor designs as well as the correction of rotor-dynamic deficiencies exhibited by existing designs. You will engage in team discussions to determine the best analytical and practical approaches for your work and the work of your colleagues in a collaborative environment. Your work will also include establishing the functional capabilities of software used to predict rotor characteristics.
In your role as a Siemens Energy Expert in AMBs you will support the Siemens Energy Compression business for technical support on compressors with AMBs currently in operation, as well as defining the future of AMBs within the compression business. Additionally, approximately 10% of your time will be dedicated to participating in the Siemens Energy Expert community, a company-wide, international community of the leading technical experts in Siemens Energy. You will share your expertise in the expert community and beyond, allowing you to connect with people and challenges outside of your organization.
How You’ll Make an Impact
Product development for traditional and green energy industries requires constant innovation. You will support by:
