Develops, designs, models, and tests radio frequency transmitters and receiver circuit subsystems. Works on multi-disciplinary teams responsible for integrated product designs including radio propagation modeling and prediction, microwave path analysis, interference analysis, frequency coordination, cell site equipment layout, parameter definition and ancillary equipment.
Must live within a commutable distance to Zebra's Mississauga, Ontario, Canada office
Responsibilities:
Establishes requirements for moderately complex RF design projects.
Completes all phases of moderately complex RF design projects.
Applies existing technology in new ways to improve performance and productivity.
Considers latest technologies and new approaches to improve designs and implementation of the design.
Reviews changes or upgrades to existing applications.
Develops new technology to solve unique problems.
Maintains positive relationships with client contacts.
Makes recommendations to inter-disciplinary team to enhance performance and improve production quality.
May develop new tools to aid in the analysis and solving of problems.
Exercises judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree (engineering degree).
Minimum 6+ years' work experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
5G WAN and/or Wi-Fi6 Experience preferred.
RF aspects of a complete mobile product development lifecycle.
RF Design for FCC/ETSI/3GPP compliance & recent success cases.
Hands-on RF circuit/system testing experience including cabled and radiated methods.
Noise / RF interference mitigation and troubleshooting methods.
RF System integration (Radio/Antenna) optimization and debugging.
A leadership role within a cross-functional product development team.
Project management of RF/Radio development and System integration.
