Intern Job Description (Costa Rica D&A teams)

　　Responsibilities:

　　Moody's Investors Service is among the world's most respected and widely utilized sources for credit ratings and research. Our opinions and analysis on a broad range of credit obligors and obligations are valued around the world for their insight and rigor. The Data & Analytics team works with the Analysts in Moody's credit ratings process and provides a range of support services to the overall credit analysis function, including financial data analysis, research, analytical outreach and presentations.

　　Your role

　　We are looking for current students to join the Data & Analytics team for a paid 6 month internship starting in March 2024.

　　As an MIS Data & Analytics Intern, the scope of work could include:

　　Review and understand financial statementsDevelop understanding of Moody's methodologiesPerform financial statement analysis and adjust reported data per relevant methodology requirementsWork directly with ratings and support analysts to explain the data, adjustments and othersPrepare and update financial spreadsheets, charts and tables and identify trends in dataPrepare presentation materials for outreach activitiesSupport updating various sector specific databases

　　Provide support and be a resource to other team members, under overall supervision

　　Qualifications:

　　Degree specializations in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Management or equivalentCuriosity about credit and/or financial analysisKnowledge of MS Excel, Word and PowerPointShown verbal, written communication and interpersonal skillsAttention to detail and dedication to producing high quality, accurate workAbility to work effectively in a collaborative teamProficient in English, any other foreign language would be an advantage (e.g. Portuguese)
