RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a highly dedicated Registered Nurse for our Operating Room at the Morris Cancer Center on the New Brunswick campus,

Position Summary: The OR Nurse will provide high-quality patient care in the surgical setting, working collaboratively with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals,

This role requires a detail-oriented and proactive individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is dedicated to improving surgical outcomes for oncology patients,

Schedule: 40 Hours per week, day shift 7:00a-3:30p,

Weekends, Holidays, and on-call requirements as assigned

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and maintain a sterile environment in the operating room,

Assess, plan, and implement patient care before, during, and after surgery,

Assist surgical teams by providing necessary instruments and supplies,

Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient care,

Adhere to hospital policies and best practices in perioperative nursing,

Document patient progress and maintain accurate medical records,

Qualifications:

Current RN license in the state of New Jersey,

Minimum of 1 year OR experience, or Recent graduate from Periop101 program,

CNOR certification preferred but not required,

BLS and ACLS certification required,

Strong communication and organizational skills,

Ability to work effectively in a high-pressure surgical environment,
