Job Description:
L3Harris Corporation is seeking an experienced and talented systems integration test engineer to join our PNT division team in Clifton, N.J. As a member of our Integration & Test team you will be part of the integration and test of complex spaceborne vehicle payload equipment along with supporting the design, development, and maintenance of production test equipment solutions.
Essential functions:
Overseeing integrating and testing of critical Digital and RF components at subassembly, box level, and system payload level
Troubleshooting and problem solving of both Engineering Development Model (EDM) and flight unit hardware
Support development of test set hardware/software
Author acceptance test procedures, production test plans, and test requirements documentation
Creating and executing automated test scripts using LabVIEW, PYTHON, C#, and/or MATLAB languages
Collaborating and consulting with cross functional technical teams at L3Harris that include but not limited to Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Quality Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Design Engineering
Creating, reviewing, and updating Design For Test(DFT), and Requirements Verification Traceability Matrix (RVTM) for completeness.
Coordinating, and participating in all internal approvals for any Integration and Test deliverables that are required by the Statement of Work (SOW)
Leading shift hand-off meetings to review daily scorecards of test activities with team to ensure the proper execution of subassembly and box level UUT tests
Leading formal test readiness gate reviews and product end-item data package reviews.
Maintaining multi-shift work schedules for testing of flight hardware
Working with Integrated Product Team Leader (IPTL) and Project Engineer (PE) to achieve program milestones, that contribute to a successful integration and test program
Qualifications:
Requires comprehensive level knowledge of job area. May have in-depth knowledge of project management.
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Enginieering and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience.
Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience.
In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.
Working knowledge of RF laboratory test equipment such as Spectrum Analyzers, Network Analyzers, power meters, etc
Understanding and utilization of product specifications, interface control definition, assembly drawings, schematics, wirelists, and test scripts to troubleshoot end item hardware
Possess or have the ability to obtain U.S. DoD Secret Clearance or higher
Preferred Additional Skills:
Excellent customer facing communications skills, written and oral
Excellent organizational and record keeping skills
Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) and Lean training
Ability to perform work under general supervision
Proficient in Microsoft Office® applications to include Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Visio
