Role Summary
The Risk Management Internship will be a front line position supporting the director of Global Risk Management of Insurance. The student will be a part of the team of professionals supporting Southwire's strategic goals and offering best in class service.
Description of Responsibilities
Handle Insurance Policy Compliance which includes insurance audits (i.e., automobile, ocean marine cargo, workers compensation) and Southwire’s mandatory State Filings;
Conduct research, participate in and lead special projects such as the organization of Certificate of Insurance in the Risk Management & Insurance Shared Folder;
Attend risk management & insurance meetings while interacting with insurance brokers and insurance underwriters;
Collect and update risk exposure details as a critical part of Southwire’s commercial insurance renewal process;
As a valuable member of the team, support in the overall daily functions of Risk Management.
Qualifications and Experience Requirements
Minimum 2.5 GPA
Must be currently enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree in Risk Management, Finance, or related field
Experience with data analytics is highly recommended
