Lead and develop complex projects, to increase the newsroom’s fluency in digital skills and tools. Train reporters and editors on a variety of skills, including live coverage, story forms, social media and data. Assist News desk to coach, guide and support reporters and editors as they’re working on their stories. Scale new journalism tools developed by product teams. Partner closely with other team and with key editors on desks. Generate new ideas for training programs, doing necessary research and running pilot programs. Role holder is eligible to work remotely approximately two days a week with manager approval.SALARY:$134,000 to $151,000 per yearRequirements: Must have Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Journalism or related and 5 years of experience as an editor in a newsroom department. Must have experience: project managing editorial initiatives, training journalists on new skills, collaborating with product teams on the development of new tools, creating project plans that outline goals and timelines, and digital journalism skills and a background in audience, editing, writing, data or other forms of storytelling.
