About Residential Building Envelope Market Development Manager – South East Region

What’s the job?-

*The ideal candidate will reside in the Charlotte, NC area*

The primary function of this position is to generate profitable sales volume of -the CertainTeed and Exterior Product Portfolio which includes CertainTeed Roofing, Siding, Solar product and Grace Vycor Residential Waterproofing system components which includes Grace Vycor roofing underlayments, water-resistant barrier products, and flashing tapes.-

Drive specifications with architects and engineers, as well as contractor pull-through with 1 Step and 2 Step distributors (30-40%)

Recommend new products and modification or deletion of present products to the line.-

Engage with Saint-Gobain/CertainTeed business-level colleagues for development of project specifications, technical guidance and supply chain support for their product categories.

Using CRM to capture and maintain all key information for the accounts, contacts, and projects, including external stakeholders, follow-up activities and next steps to continuously build a pipeline in various phases of construction cycle. -Utilize resources from existing CRM(s) across businesses to manage accounts and their opportunities across Bus. Maintain up to date records through computer systems (i.e. CRM).

Maintain contact with established customers and develop new prospects in assigned territory.

Support new product launches to drive adoption and specification. Examples would include Rise siding, Urban Reserve, etc.

Service existing and prospective accounts in assigned territory in accordance with company policies and programs.

Analyze customer’s needs and formulate solutions using all resources made available by the company.

Implement planned sales strategies, company marketing programs, and delivering effective customer service.

Awareness of competitive products and marketing practices.

Work closely as part of a regional sales team and in conjunction with EPS sales team.

Cooperate and assist fellow salespeople, sales managers, marketing personnel, customer service, manufacturing, and other company personnel.-

What do you bring?-

Bachelor’s Degree - or ten years comparable experience in lieu of a degree

5-7 years’ selling value added products in a construction related field-

Solid understanding of 1 Step and 2 Step distribution channel.

Construction industry experience desirable.

Able to -identify decision makers, evaluators, and influencers in the buying process. Continually utilize network and various information sources (web, third party data, etc.) to identify accounts, projects, events, etc.

Ability to influence without authority the internal project members and stakeholders. -Must be able to articulate the business value and benefits across the CT Exterior Products business units and to various levels within the organization.

Strong team orientation with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively. Demonstrate accountability to team members.

Excellent organizational skills with ability to manage multiple projects with multiple streams of data from contacts, channel partners, projects, and business units.

Possess good problem solving skills and the ability to discuss business issues and propose appropriate product solutions.

Known for sales orientation, comfortable with cold calling and ability to fill the pipeline with opportunities.

Strong presentation skills.

Valid drivers license required-
