Reliability Generalist

　　Position Description

　　Job Summary

　　Under the direction of the Reliability Engineering Supervisor, the Reliability Generalist provides support across a broad range of subjects with focus on hydraulics, PLC programming / troubleshooting, and automation programming / troubleshooting. This position will assist on all maintenance repairs and services. They can serve as the backup for the Maintenance and Reliability Leader during their absence and assist in W.O. assignment. They also would provide assistance with the day to day training of the maintenance departmental personnel, while being able to address and evaluate any unforeseen tasks that may arise with little or no guidance.

　　Responsibilities:

　　EHS & 5S

　　Ensure safe work environment in plant

　　Be LOTO authorized

　　Demonstrate active preventive engagement in EHS through preforming STOP Observations and safety/environmental reporting

　　Complete assigned monthly safety walk through

　　Manage maintenance training courses as appropriate

　　Identify, eliminate, and / or communicate any unsafe conditions

　　Complying and instruct on all PPE requirements

　　Comply with all CertainTeed Siding and EHS Policies

　　Maintain and improve 5S of assigned working areas

　　Conduct contractor safety training as needed

　　Develop JSAs and OPLs for maintenance related work

　　Participate in new and altered audits as the maintenance representative

　　Lead in machine guarding annual evaluations for maintenance and facilities

　　Maintenance

　　Perform a variety of tasks, which require a thorough knowledge of wiring techniques, wiring tools, and equipment

　　Work from schematic, wiring diagrams, rough sketches, or manuals. Test various electrical circuits with a variety of test equipment

　　Recommend and/or maintain spare parts inventory of OEM parts and supplies.

　　Assemble and/or fit together cables to form complete units

　　Calibrate equipment in accordance to their particular specifications

　　Configure and troubleshoot PLC systems

　　Have a minimum of 2+ years of robot programming/troubleshooting skills.

　　Assist in setting up robot/automation programming.

　　Gather tools and supplies to be used at work site, keep tools in proper location when not in use

　　Check operations of machines lubricate equipment as specified, keep machines clean and make minor adjustments.

　　Assist in creation of Preventive and Autonomous maintenance standards to improve overall up time.

　　Move machines and robots within facilities that can be done with available equipment and manpower

　　Perform advanced mechanical repairs

　　Have an intermediate knowledge of computer maintenance management system ex. SAP.

　　Report maintenance metrics from SAP or other resources and assist in identifying gaps and correcting them

　　Participate in the planning of work orders and project to insure on time completion

　　Assist Maintenance and Reliability Leader in work order assignment

　　Perform intermediate to advanced troubleshooting of Fluid power systems including reading schematics and help train other employees.

　　Perform intermediate to advanced trouble shooting on Closed loop hydraulic systems.

　　Intermediate skills in Mig Welding. With the ability to weld frames, fixtures, and some piping weldments for hydraulic lines.

　　Develop and execute training for maintenance employees with a focus on developing new skills

　　Be an active member of corporate teams as required

　　Participate in new equipment focused teams

　　What do you bring ?

　　High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED), Associates degree preferred

　　Certified on at least 2 areas in Hydraulics, Electrical, Automation, or PLC programming, preferred

　　5+ years maintenance-related experience with demonstrated project implementation skills

　　Basic Microsoft Office skills
