JOB REQUIREMENTS: Position Description: The Microbiology & ImmunologyDepartment at the Medical College of Wisconsin is seeking candidateswith a strong background in federal grants preparation and reporting forthe position of Research Program Coordinator. Working with theDepartment Administrator and Chair, the position supports grantsubmission and administration for the Department\'s 17 primary facultymembers and 50+ students and post-doctoral fellows. Additionally, itoversees the department\'s research purchasing process and providesadministrative support for the Department and associated Centers.Primary Functions Manage departmental faculty, student, and postdoctoralgrant submissions, renewals, subcontracts, and progress reportsCoordinate the grant process from development and submission topost-award to ensure compliance with sponsor terms, MCWpolicies/procedures, budgets, and federal regulations Review and approvedepartment/center research purchases and invoices Initiate purchaseorder requests, check requests, standing/confirming/purchasing cardorders, and travel expenses for the department as needed Serve astimekeeper for department research staff and students, troubleshoot withpayroll, and serve as I-9 designee for new employees Provideadministrative support for the Center for Infectious Disease Research:website maintenance, supply ordering, office equipment (printers, copymachine, ect.) oversight, shipping, and facilities requests; CoordinateDistinguished Faculty Lectureship in Infectious Diseases incollaboration with CIDR faculty Manage onboarding process for newresearch staff Prepare monthly faculty meeting agendas Approve securitybadge access and key requests for the department Create and editdepartmental newsletter in coordination with the Chair; maintaindepartment intranet site Knowledge - Skills - Abilities Knowledge offederal grants applications and management, business operations,budgeting, consultation, and project management.
