Responsible for performing clinical tasks under the direction of the RN and/or Physician in the Physician Clinic.Reports to: Office Manager I or II per clinic structureFLSA: Non-exempt

Under the direction of an RN and/or Physician, contributes to the assessment of patients by collecting data foranalysis by an RN and/or Physician.Performs plan of care interventions, including specimen collection and wound care. May administermedication. Documents patient care given.Monitors, documents, and communicates patient's status and reactions to interventions with RN and/orPhysician, patient, and families.Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.Teaches and reinforces education appropriately to patient and/or family throughout clinic visit.Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education:LPN education required to obtain LPN licensureRequired Skills:Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must beable to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. Computer skills required.Certifications:BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) - Required within 90days of hire, if not current upon hire.License: Current TN or Multi-State LPN licensureMinimum Work Experience:1 year LPN experience RequiredExperience in Family Practice and/or Specialty Physician Clinic Preferred
